"Toni" Frühauf (1914 - 1999), a renowned artist from Merano, designer, painter, and caricaturist, was the third generation of a family of goldsmiths. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Munich and worked as a goldsmith in Rome before returning to the family business in Merano. Starting in the 1950s, the innovative design of his creations captured international attention, leading him to win numerous awards in Italy, Austria, Germany, and Japan. His works are exhibited in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Jewelry Museum in Pforzheim.
